Shimza and Heavy K turn Maphorisa down
DJ Maphorisa is one of Amapiano’s godfathers, it cannot be denied that he played a big role into making the genre what it is today. In a bid to make Amapiano reach more corners of the world Maphorisa asked popular house DJ’s Shimza, Heavy K and Black Coffee to play Amapiano music more in their sets when they do gigs.

Heavy K responded that he does play Amapiano but he will not be increasing the number of times he does because he wants to experiment with other sounds. “Me I can handle both House and Amapiano Porry. It marks 10years of Heavy K this year and I’ll be introducing my other production strong points. It’s necessary for me. To my day-one fans, I’ll never leave you behind but allow me to experiment,” Heavy K responded. He even showed a clip on twitter where he transitioned from a house song to Amapiano at a gig he was playing.
