So there is a video of a performance singer Makhadzi did last year. She asks for any male fan to come to the stage where she proceeds to handle his equipment and rub her back against it whilst dancing. So a popular catfish account on twitter called Chris Excel tweeted that if Makhadzi was male and the fan female people would not be as okay as they are with what she did. Another twitter influencer by the handle name Mrs Jackson questioned if the guy had given his consent. Because of this a hashtag to cancel Makhadzi started trending.
But most people refused to get behind the hashtag and said Chris Excel and all those wanting to cancel Makhadzi were paid to do so. In fact they started a new hashtag Makhadzi Stays. One tweep said with absolute certainty that the influencers had been paid by the SAMAs board so they could justify snubbing Makhadzi. Chris Excel denied being paid and deleted her initial tweet on Makhadzi’s performance on twitter. The Matorokisi hitmaker has chosen to stay mum on the issue and has not said a word concerning it.
