Thuso a cover girl

Actress Thuso Mbedu is doing more than her fair share of raising the South African flag high in America. She is not only a two time Emmy award nominee, she currently features as the lead actor in the Underground Railroad series and has a future project acting alongside American actress Viola Davis.

But that is not the only thing Thuso is celebrating. She posted a pictures which shows her as the cover girl of Emmy magazine. And just below her picture are the words, “Faith, Hope, Love.” “My first U.S. cover Emmy Magazine. To tell you that I bawled like a baby when I saw that, ‘Faith, Hope, Love.’ some know that it’s the tattoo that’s on my collar bone but not many know why,” she captioned the picture. The actress explained that she got the tattoo after struggling with depression for most of 2016 and she used it as a way to declare that without Faith in God, Hope in my purpose, Love of God and her sister she would have ended her life that year. In the magazine Thuso says she relates to Cora the character she plays because when she was 4 her mum died and she was raised by her grandmother. Congrats Thuso and keep shining.
