Lillian Dube on MojaLove
Veteran actress Lillian Dube has bagged a role on a new MojaLove sitcom. The sitcom is named Emzini Wabadala and focuses on people who live in an old-age home. It is a remake of Emzini Wezinsizwa which centred around people in a hostel. MojaLove was forced to change the format of the show by SABC who denied them the right to keep the original format.
A source revealed to Daily Sun that, “the new show is going to feature the remaining cast of the original show and Lillian is joining as one of the leads.” Lillian will portray a matriarch who is in charge taking care of people at an old-age home. The actress was said to be chosen because she is a high profile actress and is bound to draw audiences something that the new show needs. A third source shared this with the publication, “She’s been shooting since production began a few months ago. It’s scheduled to start airing on the coming months.” The show is meant to give people a refreshing take on how people are treated in old age homes. MojaLove marketing manager Lindiwe Mbonambi when contacted with Daily Sun refused to confirm on all that the sources had said.
