Somizi says the journalist whom he retaliated and posted her personal number went on to tag all his bosses and the brands he works with demanding for action to be taken against him because of his unkind reply and also for posting her personal contacts publicly.
The choreographer and singer says he does not feel bad for standing up for himself because the same woman falsefully published that his husband Mohale Motaung cheated on him with a married man with kids. However, he knows he was wrong for publicizing her personal digits on his social media platforms.
“My issue is, you attack my personal space but when I serve you back what you have dished out, you now play victim and now tag my bosses. What are you hoping for? You’re hoping that I get fired or send out an apology,” said Somizi.
Somizi says he even had to tell one of his bosses who called him that he is still not sorry. The idols judge confirmed to have reached a space where he will do any thing and everything to protect his space, the people close to him and the ones that are dear to him.
In his words, the star says he would rather die standing than live longer on his knees, “I don’t have a problem with my things being out there but I have a problem with things that are written about me and people that I love that are not factual,” he said.
Somizi furthered to dismiss the rumours about his husband Mohale cheating on him. He then said the journalists can write about it as long as they have proof, sms or pictures because he understands that he is in the public eye.
“It is sad that we can be door mats and that means we should take anything and everything that anyone can dish to us. No it doesn’t work like that,” he added.
He says he would rather sell vetkoek than offer an apology for being bullied, “I have gotten to a point where I know when to stand up for my self,” he said.
“I will take consequences for whatever is coming but I will not be bullied. I was Somizi before everything and I will remain Somizi even after everything,” says Somizi as he receives applause from his fans for standing up for himself.
