Idols SA runner-up Mthokozisi Ndaba and his wife, Nandipha Sefoloko-Ndaba, have welcomed their second born son whom they labelled a miracle baby.
Fortunately for their sons life, Nandipha went to the hospital for her normal hospital check ups innocently, not knowing that by doing so she was saving her baby’s life.
The couple say their child wouldn’t have made it if she had skipped her routine check ups at the hospital.
Nandipha gave birth on the 7th month of pregnancy on the 28th of december 2020 when she was supposed give birth in February this year
“I was seven months pregnant and I went to hospital for a normal check-up. When they did a scan they couldn’t find the child’s heartbeat. After further scans they said the baby’s heart is swollen and, as a result, he wasn’t breathing normally.”
That surpasses all the mothers fears with regard to her offspring especially when she’s pregnant. Luckily her child survived. “I was rushed to theatre for a C-section.”
Nandipha and the baby are now fine.
“I’d never have suspected anything wrong because I religiously attended antenatal classes,” she said.
“I don’t know and I don’t even want to imagine what could’ve happened if I’d missed my normal check-up. But I’m glad they saved my baby. We’re still at the hospital. We’re both doing well.”
There you have it people, a miracle baby arrived earlier than expected. God’s timing, God protected. Congratulations Nandi.
