 Jacob Zuma and fiancé separate

Former president Jacob Zuma and his fiancé Nonkanyiso Conco have gone their separate ways. It seems the two have not been together for a while but they kept the news hush-hush, apparently Nonkanyiso was warned to not breathe a word of it to anyone by the Zuma family as they wanted to keep the press out.

In February this year Zuma faced criticism for being and absent father to the two’s child. Nonkanyiso had posted on her Instagram page that, “ I have made peace with that I’ll attend school activities alone, travel the world with him alone and take all responsibilities on raising a boy child and installing best values in his life.” She later added that this was to be expected from a man with such a large family. She was after all supposed to be Zuma’s 7th wife. By then she already left Zuma but Mzansi did not know.

It is rumoured that she left the Zimbali home in Durban, which Zuma rented for her in December 2019. She went back home to her mum. Her father who spoke to Sunday Sun said that, “She blocked me on all her contacts, but I know that she does not stay in Ballito anymore. I wish she’d come back home if Zuma’s no longer able to maintain her.” The father and daughter were no longer on talking terms as he did not approve of her relationship with Jacob Zuma and was not pleased that the ex-president had not paid lobola.

The separation of these two was unexpected as they seems very much in love with each other. Nonkanyiso used to post photos of them together on her Instagram account, but she has since deleted them. Although the two had been criticised because of their age gap of 53 years, Nonkanyiso being only 25. Mzansi was eagerly awaiting their wedding. The separation has left many wondering if Nonkanyiso was really in love with Jacob Zuma or was she a gold digger.

Both her mother and the Zuma family spokesperson Ray Zuma, refused to comment.
