Black twitter demand an answer from Lasizwe
Youtuber Lasizwe has always been an open member of the LGBTQI member as a gay person. Which is why his fans and followers were shocked when he revealed that he had a baby girl by sharing pictures of them together.
Mzansi still have not gotten an answer from him as he has not said anything about the parentage of the child. Now he is trending because the LGBTQI community is holding him accountable for the question he asked on twitter which in their eyes promotes homophobia. The question came after an episode on Uyajola99 in which a woman finds her boyfriend in bed with another man.so Lasizwe asked this question, “Ladies what would you do if you caught your man with another man #Uyajola99.”
Many tweeps were not offended by the comment and instead answered the question he had asked. Most replies seemed to not care if it was a man or woman their man would have cheated with whilst others showed that it being with a man changed how they would act. These are some of the responses he got:
“Having a relationship with another man is not a problem we have established that. To drag someone else and lie, that’s the problem. People are making relationships dodgy and not a place of safety. It is selfish. Hhayi man no double dipping.”
“Tricky baby I would leave the guy. I can’t compete with chocolate box.”
Others just thought he was promoting homophobia.
“Why are you asking for an audience with homophobes? They won’t like you even if you give them a platform to bash us.”
“He’s never been smart. He won’t even care that we’re showing him that the tweet is inciting homophobia. He’s gonna leave it and keep it moving because content.”
The truth is on social media especially if you are a public figure you can’t please everyone. No matter how harmless your post may seem to you someone somewhere is going to take offense and troll you for it. Let me hear your opinion Tea Squad. Was his post inciting homophobia?
