Model and TV presenter Amanda Du-Point recently lost her grandmother and is in mourning. She announced the passing of her grandmother on Instagram and wrote a touching message to it. She also dropped a bomb in the message.
The Skeem Saam actress uploaded a picture of her and her gogo and captioned it, “I lost my gogo last night. If you know me well you’d know she was my fav. Everything in my body is aching and so painful. But I’m happy you are resting and no longer in pain.” According to her had granny had said she would wait until she was married and had kept the promise. “She promised to wait until I was married before she passed. Over the last couple of years she would hint that she was getting tired. I’m married granny and I’m ok, hope you are too. Maye ngitakukhumbula! Rest in Perfect Peace,” it continued.
Amanda had announced her engagement to her Brazilian boyfriend, Shawn Rodriguez in July 2018. She had referred to him on Instagram as her, “darling who sweeps her off her feet every time.” Amanda must be taking notes from DJ Lerato Kganyango because before the post we had no idea she was married.
Of course fans and followers of the model left many touching messages passing on their condolences and wishing her and her family well in this sad time.
